The first time you meet Heather, you immediately have a sense of her deep power.
Heather interned with &yet for two summers during her time as a student at Harvey Mudd before joining our ops team. Her intelligence, warmth, insightful nature, and deep empathy struck us so deeply in our time working with her that we couldn’t wait to work with her again.
In the mold of her yeti forebears (which do include an actual Bear), Heather’s role blends dev/ops and project management—roles which are both focused on empowerment. As a self-described “committed generalist”, she values versatility and breadth of understanding, an approach that comes in handy.
As a dev/ops engineer, she is intentional, thorough, and disciplined. She always endeavors to thoroughly understand how and why something works.
Her generous spirit drives her to understand new things well enough to be able to teach them. She also creates documentation for her teammates, making it easier for the next person to dive in without spending as long on the learning curve.
Heather is the refreshing sort of person who embraces life with arms wide open. She is an adventurer, yogi, writer, swimmer, backpacker, and dancer—in fact, we got to know Heather through Isaac, who befriended her through regional dance community.
She is also a passionate voice for prioritizing physical health, mental health, and overall balance in life and work. We are thrilled to have her leadership on our team as we learn how to take better care of ourselves and each other.
