Jake started coding while pursuing (what else?) an Exercise and Wellness degree from Arizona State University. He found it interesting and decided to try out game design too. When time rolled around to find a job, it was web development that won out. He was tasked with an HTML and CSS test, so he learned it. And then quickly added to a long list of languages since.
Jake’s background crossing disciplines says a lot about him. He’s always excited and willing to jump in and learn something new.
And he doesn’t stop there. Jake has a passion for mentoring those around him. If he can make things easier for people, he will. We’re grateful for his patience and wisdom.
After many years of sharing his time between Chandler, Arizona and Würzburg, Germany, he’ll soon be settling in Tübingen with his wife, Barbara. He plans to strengthen his German, drink beer and eat pretzels, and play plenty of Dungeons and Dragons.
Also, he perfected a 💯impression of Eric in his first week on the team.
